My Buried Treasure

Seth at The Altered Page has organized the Buried Treasure 2010 collaboration, and this is my contribution.
I had just about given up on doing any art, a long, boring story, but decided to give it one more go. So I signed up for some Yahoo groups & was in a few swaps, and then...I saw Chrysti Hydeck's article in CPS and a call for original art to be in a skinny book swap. I signed up and the pages below are the result. It was like I couldn't do wrong and my spirit soared! I sewed, painted, drew, used my own art & transparencies, glued, & more. I am so proud of these pages and here they are from 2008:

I am in total awe of your collages and mixed media pieces from this post. I really must continue reading your blog, so I have Seth to thank for that. These pieces are superb. You have a great eye for color and composition. Simply beautiful.

And I want to thank you beyond belief for the comment on my blog. It didn't even occur to me to post the follow up post, since I was trying to make it easy and quick for people on their Buried Treasure journey. I see I was wrong, and you pointed that out by hunting up the second one on your own. For that, I will be eternally grateful. I've added the link to the second post just because of YOU.

Now I'm off to read the rest of your blog.

Me again. Just wanted you to know I've been looking through your blog and I love all the swap entries for the swaps you have participated in. What surprised me was I had been to your blog earlier this month with the Project 2010 Dress-Up. I'm a real dufus at times, not putting two and two together. I love your art and want to feature you as my blog pick of the day. What better time than tomorrow (July 16). With my (seemingly) failing memory, I could forget if I don't do it soon (grin). So, tomorrow is your day, Joanie.

Hi Joanie - I'm glad I stopped by - these are all wonderful and even better to see them in a group! You must be so happy you didn't pack it in. Never say never!

It looks like you enjoyed working with this dimension....width x 2 = height...I caught the bug about a year ago and I think I've created about 45!!!
