Yesterday was my day to explore (a little). It was a super loverly day in Maryland, so I hit the road to Annapolis. I went to the art supply store (http://www.artthingsinc.com/) to look around and quite likely buy stuff. I did both. I bought some Dorland's wax to try, and the most beautiful colored pencils-Derwent Inktense. Since the quilting store (http://www.cottonseedglory.com/) was right next door, I figured I just had to go there also. Both of these stores have great people working there, and huge selections of stuff to look at. None of this is earth shattering news, but I felt like blogging. And I did! Happy Friday!
These are the 25 (should be 26, but I posted 1 two times, can you find it?) original pages I made for a Skinny Book swap. It was a challenge, but an excellent exercise for my creativity.....
This is an ATC I made for a "hand drawn" swap. Layers of telephone book pages, water colors, gesso clouds, a water color & marker drawing of my great-niece, Emma, and a cut out of a rock from some scrapbook paper, then some Sharpie sea grass! (oh, the theme was "A Splash of Red").
