Commitment to myself and my art. Commitment to a goal that I set for myself 2 years ago, and recently extended another year. (thoughts become things, thoughts become things, thoughts become things), the charm having been said: my goal is a show of my art by age 61. whew.
The place is irrelevant: a bowling alley will do. I just want my art to be seen,
I have 1 year and 9 months to make this happen.
What is your word for 2009?

And it is TOTALLY do-able, Joannie! Yes, thoughts become things. And we know it works because it's been working like a charm the whole time (but we've been using it against ourselves by thinking all these crappy thoughts). So it's only a matter of gaining momentum in the other direction. Commitment is a great keyword for this goal. They say that sticking to something with commitment for about 21 to 29 days will do the trick in turning the tide in that direction and after that it takes on a life of it's own.
Thank you so much for your comments and compliments and for sending your good thoughts my way! I soooo need all the good thought boosts I can get right now. I am doing the same for you! Blessings galore! Serena Pia
Happy New Year Joanie! I wish you well with your projects this year, commitment is a great incentive to keep focused.
I'm not sure what mine will be this year, after the 2008 project I feel quite exhausted! I do however plan to stay motivated and enjoy my art!
Happy New Year! Feliz Año Nuevo! I agree with Margaret commitment is a
great incentive to keep focused.
Mine is relax because when I'm that way I have the most vivid imagination ,when I have new ideas for art projects.

(I'd wholeheartedly encourage a pub venue!!)
Commitment has power - it's a great choice to carry through the new year. Commitment to your Self as artist, with a specific goal and date, your intention set and now stated and *out there* in the world seals the deal! I have no doubt you will achieve your goal, and look forward to your sharing the journey with us!
Great choice of word! Hope it leads you to all your goals.
Thank you all for your encouragement!
Putting my word in writing and sending it out to the world is my first step to commitment to my goals.
Happy days,
Joanie
