This is Plop, my baby box turtle that I found on the side of the road some months ago. She's about 3" round. Her turn ons include live crickets, strawberries, tomatoes, and canned turtle food. She doesn't care much about long walks on the beach at sunset.
In the Spring, when it's warm, she will go visit some relatives in a safe place, far from busy roads.
Plop would say "Thanks" for the kind comments too if she could speak English. So far, she only speaks turtleish.

Joanie, my comment has nothing to do with Plop (hope he's OK?) but as you have kindly asked to be 'interviewed' by me, I need an email address to send you the questions. You will find my email under my 'wild somerset child' profile. Ann
Aw, how sweet! Hi,Plop.
My son rescued a painted turtle a few years ago that we kept in a tank for awhile before setting it free in a pond. Turtles are fun :)
I LOVE HER (or him)!!!!
When you say "visit" do you really visit or do you mean something else...
Walnut says "hi" and was wondering how canned turtle food tastes. He also wants to know if Plop has every had Jumbo Mealworms....and if Plop would like to go on a date?
He is asleep right now under the stereo cabinet but when he wakes up in April he'd like to take her out on the town. But is she is a he, they can just get together for a guys night out in the backyard.
she's small but i think she's a girl (brown eyes, flat bottom shell, can't tell too much about her tail length yet). she can't have meal worms til she gets a little bigger unless i crush the heads before she eats them. canned turtle food smells fruity & has corn nuggets in it and is the consistency of canned dog/cat food.
she is much to too young to date, but there is something to be said for arranged marriages. please send a picture of walnut.
Loved the humor in this post. Enjoy your time with Plop!
