Strip Ease: the book

Michelle Ward of GPP Street Team has posted Crusade #42: Strip Ease. The directions: "tear your paper or fabric into strips and attach to your page". Easy peasy. A few weeks ago my grandson, Brian, and I made little booklets of watercolor paper. Mine was for Strip Ease, with a focus on children, Brian's was for Transformers and/or Greek gods. The
Library of Congress Prints and Photos online was a great source of children's photos. I also used some of my family's photos. And I used paper, fabric, transparencies, napkins, paper towels, acrylic paint, matte medium, heavy gel medium, water color pencils, and some other stuff I can't remember now. So here's the booklet!

front cover

pages 3 & 4

pages 5 &6

pages 7 & 8

pages 9 & 10

back cover (with a copy of a zombie vs. human drawing by Brian).

p.s. i forgot to scan pages 1 & 2, maybe tomorrow...

Love those paper strips... I'm feeling a bit "uncertain" today - don't know what I shall start working on - and you just give me inspiration! YEAY! THANKS!

This is some fantastic art. I know I'm a bit late getting here, but I am totally impressed by this book. Each page is more delightful than the next, and I didn't think that was possible, but it sure was. I especially liked the treatment of the spread with all the children. You have made one very artistic and delightful book to be enjoyed for years to come by both you and Brian.

Love your booklet! The strips really add to the fragmented and tattered feeling of the booklet!
