Alice & Camilla inspired me: my June dress.

Margaret of Alice and Camilla has a Project 2010 and she has made tiny little dresses ( and a wardrobe with tiny hangers to store her dresses).
So being a closet girly-girl I decided to join in. This is my June dress. I decided to make these dresses so that they can be framed (haven't decided if each will be individually framed or if it will be a group thing). When they are all done, it will be a present for my granddaughter, Lindsey.

Some things I've been working on...

For the Queen Bee book, blank muslin journal bought from Lynne Hoppe's Etsy store.

For a Angela Carthwright swap.

For a Red Dog Scott swap (skinny book page).

LaWendula (LW) of Woven Letters started the College Box Project which you can read about here.
Basically the idea is that LW sent off a box with 144 "snippets" of paper to the first participant, who can take out 12-20 snippets and put back in the same number from her own stash. Then she makes a collage with the snippets she removed and (I think) whatever else she wants to use (that's the part of the directions I need to read soon). Hopefully, I will make my collage this weekend and post it here!
Here's some photos of the box (above) and what I took out & what I put in.
This is what I took out.

This is what I put in!

under construction

I have been gone from my blog (poor neglected thing)for months.
I have been home for 4 months without the Internet, so there were no new postings.
Here's the scoop:
July 14th I fell at a Joe Cocker/Dave Mason concert and broke my leg in 3 places.
I now have a metal plate & nine metal pins in my right leg.
November 9th was the first day I could drive again. yippeee!
I'm back, sort of, at work 3 days a week.
I'm keeping this brief because I have been living this scoop and it's old news to me.
Hopefully soon I will have a new banner and a new blog name and something interesting to write.
In the meantime, what makes you go back to a blog?
Happy days,
Joanie

super video

There's nothing, well almost nothing, as fun to me as sitting at work and laughing and/or crying at my computer. And that's what I just finished doing and I still have tears of laughter on my fat little cheeks. And it's not an email from Ms. Nozeybeetle this time, it's this video and this idea of laughter.
You can watch the video here at the Voodoo Cafe or here at my blog. Thank you Ricë and Susan and Lauren.
But I encourage you to go the the Cafe to read the wonderful post Ricë has written.

Every Day in May

From Kelly's blog to her friend Francie's blog to French Toast Girl's blog, that's where I was for a while looking at blogs and wanting to see what "Every Day in May" was about.
Now I know what it's about and I am not so sure, in fact, I'm pretty sure I won't, do this. But you should take a look.
Sometimes, just knowing I have the option is enough.

My mosaic ATCs

Stacy Alexander announced a 2 for 2 Mosaic ATC a while ago and I signed up. The first cards got kind of ruined when part of the art room ceiling fell so I made some more and mailed them off to Stacy. Hoping, as I usually do, that they will do and no one who receives one will be disappointed. We'll see. Happy days!
